Benefits of Cornflower Tea

tea 2

Cornflower has antiseptic properties guysss! (only the blue coloured ones though). You can use it externally as well as internally, to help heal wounds and reduce inflammation. I had no idea, I originally purchased the petals for decoration for my smoothies, so you can imagine how amazed I was to learn how great this flower really is.

  • It’s high in calcium and Vitamin C!
  • Good for the digestive system – Constipation.
  • Rich in folic acid
  • Known to help protect the liver

So literally add a teaspoon of dried cornflower petals into a pan of water and boil for 5 minutes. Or just add the petals directly into your cup of boiling water and sit for 5-7 minutes.

I found my cornflower petals on Amazon, £2.75 for 5g jar, it’s small but seeing as you will only use a teaspoon every now and then, it will last you long enough!  – click here to view/buy.

Herbal tea is amazing for you! Seriously, if you are the type of person to get quite hungry during your meals, make a tea! It helps with cravings because they normally taste really nice plus it’s completely natural.
